Barrington Christian Academy’s High School Choir is dedicated to helping students cooperatively create music that is aesthetically noteworthy and lyrically thoughtful. The choir is also dedicated to:
The choir performs at three concerts each year, as well as other school functions and outreach opportunities. Social activities for the choir include the Fall Retreat and the attendance of a collegiate or professional choral concert in the spring. On Memorial Day weekend of 2010, the choir completed its first tour, performing at churches and veterans’ homes in central and western Massachusetts. The choir also participates at the RIMEA Senior High School Choral Festival at URI. Individual members of the choir have the opportunity to participate in the RIMEA All-State Festival and Solo & Small Ensemble Festival. The 2011-12 choir is 43 voices strong. Our upcoming performances include: Choral Night - Wednesday, April 4 at 6:30PM at Barrington Baptist Church Choral Night is a program that features all of BCA’s choral groups. This will be the High School Choir’s main performance of the year. The concert will end with a musical selection performed by all the choral groups together. The concert is free and open to the public, but an offering will take place with proceeds going to the BCA choral programs. BCA’s Spring Program - Friday, June 1 at 7PM at Barrington Baptist Church The annual BCA Spring Program features all the various ensembles of BCA as well as a musical perfomed by the eighth grade. The program is free and open to the public. |
