Leading by Serving Starts Now

Barrington Christian Academy has been empowering young leaders since 1979. BCA is fifteen minutes from Brown University, and one hour from Harvard, MIT, and Tufts University. Located in scenic Barrington, Rhode Island,  Within reach are Boston, New York, and some of the most important natural and cultural resources in America.

Barrington Christian Academy is for students who are serious about making a difference in the world through leadership and service. Here, students prepare for future leadership by leading now – with passion, skill, integrity, and faith.

Challenge your mind. At BCA, get ready to think hard: to listen, to speak, to experiment, to debate. Gaining knowledge is just the beginning – you will learn to use your mind more deeply, more critically, more insightfully, and more powerfully as you grapple with important ideas and problems.

Prepare for university. Our courses are designed to prepare students for the intellectual rigors of university study. Our university counselor is dedicated to helping students identify the best university for their needs, and to guide students through the entire application process. BCA students have attended a wide array of universities including Brown University, Penn State, Boston University, Eugene Lang/Parsons The New School, and many others.

Improve your language skills. In addition to our college-preparatory literature and writing courses, BCA offers special language classes to all English language learners. These classes will help you succeed in your writing assignments in other classes, and help you to prepare for standardized tests and college entrance.

Enjoy the support of your teachers. BCA teachers are both subject-area experts and caring mentors who want their students to succeed. They are available to help and support you in your learning.

Use your learning in professional contexts. Through a partnership with a network of leading companies in our region, BCA offers intensive internships for seniors in such fields as finance, law, media, business management, and many others. Learning and leading take on new significance in the workplace.

Let your creativity shine. The visual and performing arts thrive at BCA. Student artists can hone their skills in a wide variety of courses from drawing and painting to ceramics and mixed-media, with various opportunities to publicly exhibit their work. Vocalists can perform with our award-winning choir. And actors perform in highly acclaimed plays and musicals performed in venues throughout our state.

Explore your interests. With a wide range of clubs, activities, and sports, you can explore your interests and discover new ones. Clubs include National Honor Society, Student Council, formal debate, table tennis, teaching Chinese, yearbook, culinary arts, and many others. Sports include basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, and track & field.

Touch the world. Each year BCA students travel to international locations such as Jamaica and Ecuador to learn, to deepen relationships with one another, to grow as leaders, and to help make a difference in others’ lives through service projects.
