Born and raised in London, England, Coach Wright moved to the United States in 1981. Two years after graduating from Cedarville University, he accepted a teaching position at Evansville Christian School in Evansville, Indiana.
For 16 years he taught Health and Physical Education, served as Athletic Director and coached soccer and basketball before coming to BCA in 2007. Through teaching he hopes to encourage all of his students to be active and develop skills that will enable each individual to find physical activities that they can enjoy for a lifetime. Coaching is his passion and he enjoys seeing his players grow and develop as athletes. His greatest joy is to see former players continue to be faithful servants of Jesus Christ in their adult lives.
His passion to have a spiritual impact in the lives of those he comes in contact with, has led him to be active in his local church by serving as an elder. He and his wife, Kathy, have four children, Kimberley, Allie, Megan, and Ian. In 2010, Coach Wright became a citizen of the United States, but he continues to support both Liverpool the England national Football (soccer) team. He also enjoys following the England cricket team. While he enjoys all kinds of sports, he enjoys reading anything from biographies to spy and crime fiction. His favorite pastime is spending time with his family.
