Through her many different teaching experiences, Ms. Vander Baan has learned that each child is created uniquely and beautifully in God’s image. God has given each child his or her own strengths and struggles. She believes it is her calling to find ways to not only build on a child’s strengths, but also help them work through their struggles. She believes strongly in building relationships with each student in order to build trust. She is a motivated, empathetic and engaging teacher with a strong desire to prepare each child for the opportunities and challenges of this changing world.
