B.A. in Mathematics with special emphasis on Education, Cedarville University
Mrs. Kathy Wright was born and raised in upstate New York, and even as a little girl, could be found with chalk and a blackboard teaching numbers to her neighbors.
She received her BA in Mathematics with an emphasis in Secondary education and a minor in Bible from Cedarville University, Ohio. After living in Indiana for 16 years, she moved to RI with her husband, Mr. Alastair Wright, after he took the Director of Athletics position at BCA in 2007. They both feel passionate about Christian education. Their children, Kimberley, Allie, Megan and Ian, have also been a part of BCA. Mrs. Wright loves the idea that BCA has been a family affair. She has had the privilege of teaching math both in the middle school (Algebra 1) and high school (Algebra 2 and Calculus). She actually thinks math is fun.
Mrs. Wright loves spending time with her family and visiting her favorite place in the Adirondacks every summer. The verses that she often refers to as her life verses are Colossians 2:6 and 7, “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” She prays that for the students at BCA as well.
