The annual BCA Vision Fund is a way for BCA parents, grandparents, faculty and staff, Christian friends and business supporters to unite in support of the work of BCA with gifts of any amount. All gifts are tax-deductible, and some businesses and foundations will match gifts to tax-exempt educational organizations. BCA may also be selected as a recipient of United Way giving through many employers.
Designated gifts are an exciting way for supporters making large gifts to enhance the student experience and advance the school’s mission in a way that connects with the supporter’s own interests and values. Current opportunities include:
The lab-like setting of a classroom has its advantages, but some kinds of learning only happen with direct experience. For those cases, BCA has conceptualized a new kind of class whose scope and schedule is designed around a set of experiences, off-campus and outside of normal school hours. An English elective in Contemporary American Theater, or a Bay Ecology science elective, would be two examples.
Robotics equipment: $5,000
Middle School robotics offers opportunities for students to learn to program in a fun, dynamic environment while exploring into a truly next-generation realm of technology. This is a key component of our tech literacy initiative.
New athletic uniforms: $15,000
With our new school logo and colors, we’ll be raising money to purchase beautiful new uniforms for middle and high school athletes. Show your Bengal pride!
Outdoor learning space: $50,000
Our Lower School and Middle School students and teachers have pioneered a BCA garden – fertile ground for all kinds of learning and service. An outdoor classroom providing shelter, storage, and equipment would set the stage for garden-related science lab work, art projects, and other unique learning opportunities.
Work and meeting space: $60,000
Fulfilling our mission with excellence requires great people and great facilities. With some critical personnel additions, we have greatly increased our capacity to serve our students and families in the areas of administration and advancement. Now, it’s time to give them space and tools they need to do their best.
Scholarship endowment fund
This fund supports awesome students for whom a BCA education would otherwise be completely out of reach. Any amount over $1,000 can be added to the fund. Other benchmarks for larger gifts: $300,000 given to the fund will permanently endow one full scholarship; $150,000 will permanently endow a half-scholarship.
BCA endowment fund
This fund helps to ensure the future strength of BCA. As it grows, disbursements from the fund will help to fuel the school’s mission and ensure its sustainability.
